Join us for our 66th annual River of Gems rock and gem show at the Polk County Fairgrounds in Rickreall, Oregon! The theme for 2023 is Jaspers of the Northwest.

Our annual show features dealers, demonstrators, a fluorescent exhibit and display cases showcasing rocks and minerals from around the world, plus many fun games at our Kid’s Corner on all three event days.

Dave is Woodburn High School’s paleontology project leader and biology teacher. Dave leads paleontology digs on high school grounds that have lead to many finds, including ancient bison remains. Dave will present a show on past digs and their findings.

Laura is a woman of many hats and rocks. Laura owns mines in eastern Oregon and runs a business in Lincoln City called Rock Your World. Laura also operates a tour business in Lincoln City. Join her tours about coastal geology and the treasures you can find. Lauras topic for our show is: microbialites and how microbes are involved in rock formations.
